MICHAEL AGYEI TAKYI – PRINCIPAL MANAGER, PROGRAMMES

Mr. Michael Agyei Takyi is a Certified Project Management Professional, currently working with the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) as the Principal Programmes Manager.

From the year 2006 to date, he has been the Manager responsible for supervising the implementation of programmes under the Universal Access Fund with special emphasis on the Community ICT Centres, School Connectivity Project, Library Connectivity Project, Common Telecoms Facility (Mast), Post Office Connectivity and Security ICT support Project.

Mr. Takyi holds a Master of Science in Telematics (ICT) from the University of Havana CUJAE, Cuba and a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunication and Electronics, from the University of Pinar del Rio, Cuba.

Mr. Takyi has received extensive training abroad including New Generation Networks – USTTI, Management of Universal Access Fund Temic Canada, and LTE development – India.

He also has the following notable scientific research and publications to his credit:

  • Protocol JINI published by scientific magazine “Telematica”. – Cuba
  • Investigation and design of software for Computer Network Management using SNMP protocol- University of Cuba
  • Network Management quality of Service Management, Service level Agreement and Network Management Based on Policies – University of Havana (CUJAE) – Cuba
