Tanko Rashid-Computer Leads GIFEC’s First Durbar

News & Media

The inaugural staff durbar, convened under the stewardship of Acting Administrator (CEO) Tanko Rashid-Computer, marked a significant moment for the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC). It offered a dynamic forum where engagement, teamwork, and openness took center stage. The event brought together staff and leadership, fostering a shared understanding of the organization’s direction and priorities.

During the gathering, Heads of Units from various Directorates delivered detailed and thought-provoking presentations. They highlighted their respective units’ accomplishments, shedding light on successful initiatives that have propelled GIFEC’s mission forward. Additionally, they outlined ongoing projects, providing a clear picture of current efforts, while candidly addressing challenges that require collective attention and innovative solutions.

This transparent exchange of information set the stage for smarter decision-making and a stronger operational framework. By laying bare both triumphs and hurdles, the presentations enabled leadership and staff alike to identify areas for improvement and align their efforts toward greater efficiency. The durbar, in this way, became a springboard for refining strategies and boosting overall performance.

The occasion was further elevated by the attendance of distinguished guests, including Prof. Francis Dodoo, the Presidential Advisor on the National Anti-Corruption Programme, accompanied by consultants. Their presence underscored the critical role of integrity and accountability in GIFEC’s operations. It served as a reminder that good governance and ethical leadership are not just ideals but practical necessities for fulfilling the organization’s mandate.

Beyond its immediate outcomes, the durbar reinforced the value of continuous professional growth. With insights from both internal leaders and external experts, the event highlighted the need for ongoing learning and adaptation in a fast-evolving field. By blending collaboration with a commitment to excellence, this maiden durbar laid a solid foundation for GIFEC’s future success under Tanko Rashid-Computer’s leadership.
