ABENA NYAMESEM (Senior Manager, Sustainability & Partnership)

Abena Nyamesem is a Development Consultant with specialization in developing sustainability models, compliance, Process Improvement, Project Management, Cost Reduction, Customer Relations Management and Strategic & Operational Planning. She is presently the Lead in the Sustainability and Partnership Department of GIFEC. She is responsible for developing appropriate and innovative models that ensures compliance, value and sustainability of projects of the organisation to serve the needs of now and future generation. Her role also includes establishing profitable industry partnership and corporate arrangements for projects with a focus on maximizing impact in beneficiary communities.

Abena has worked as an Enterprise Specialist on the Groundswell Project, a Bottom of the Pyramid (BOP) Project under the auspices of SC Johnson Company, Cornell University and Bills and Melinda Gates Foundation. With experience from several leading banks in Ghana, she has worked with several top-notch consulting firms in the area of development planning, research as well as project development and management. She holds a Certificate in Consulting Practice from the Ghana Institute of Consulting.

Miss Nyamesem graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ghana with a BA. Honors degree in Sociology in 2006. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration (Project Management) from the GIMPA Business School (2010) and Master of Arts (MA) in Development Studies from the Institute of Statistical Social and Economic Research (ISSER), University of Ghana (2015).  Additionally, she possesses certificate in Strategies for Venture and Market Creation from the Centre for Sustainable Global Enterprise of the Cornell University, USA.
